Halloween Sandwich - Ghost House 2017

Today is the last day of Halloween. I have been making Halloween sandwiches but didn't post them on the blog. What I did was pretty simple.

I did some seaweed cutting of a ghost house on a piece of cheddar cheese. i did this the night before ad simply placed it on the bread the following morning.

I only used 3 tools for this sandwich design. A pair of scissor, a old medicine bottle cap and a pair of tweezers. Using a old medicine bottle cap to cut the white cheese, it is a full moon with bats flying around!

The other item in the box that I want to share is the dead man's fingers. I cut away some part of the hot dog to make it look like finger nails. I also did some cuts on the hot dog to resemble the wrinkles on the fingers. Add the hot dog to boiling water for a while and you get really gruesome severed fingers. Add some tomato sauce to the fingers to level up on the horror!

A close up look at the severed fingers!

The final product!

Happy Halloween!!!

What Animal Is This?

Start of a new month and exam is here soon. Stress…Stress….Stress….

The kids wanted a bunny sandwich AGAIN but I thought otherwise. I saw a really cute picture of a raccoon on a baby toy and decided to make it into a sandwich. I drew the picture on a piece of paper and cut out the seaweed on the cheese. I gathered all my round and circular molds to create the raccoon eyes and nose on the cheese. Took me awhile to cut the seaweed and I was wondering if the final product would turn out cute.

As usual, I used my trusty round mental ring again cut the bread that was filled with peanut butter jam.

I personally find it very adorable. However, my kids didn't know what the animal was. One thought it was a panda and the other said it was a bear wearing eye mask. *sweat*

I told them it is supposed to be a raccoon!!!

This sandwich is definitely not Kung Fu Panda wannabe, ok! It is a RACCOON!
It gives me the inspiration to make a panda sandwich for the kids next time.
Raccoons or bears, they are just adorable!

Sleepy Rabbits = Sleepy Me

Gosh! A week of school holidays gone in a flash! My small kiddo is down with a bad stomach flu and I am so tired. My house looks as though a tornado came by but so be it. I am jut glad that the high fever is gone.

I was not able to prepare any food for my other kid yesterday and made it a point to make one for her today.
Zzzzzz……

I made a sandwich that totally reflects how I am feeling. Mummy rabbit sleeping with baby rabbit!!! *yawn*

It is a hotdog bun and I used a slice of cheese as their blanket and the 2 rabbits snuggled up comfortably in a yellow blanket.
I want to be the mummy rabbit sleeping comfortably in bed
The sick kiddo saw her sister's sandwich and wanted one but she couldn't even eat much. Guess she won't be ring to school again tomorrow. Anyway I told her I will make something for her when she is better.

2013 vs 2015 Hotdog Bun

The first recess food that I have packed for my kids in 2013 was a hotdog bun. I do not make hotdog buns that often so there are only 4 buns in 2 years.

The owl bun is their recess food today, the duckie bun was made in 2014 and the other two in 2013. Looking back at the creations, I guess the more recent ones look more appealing to the kids. It is a learning process and I am still trying to improve and come up with more cute food. :)
