Sandwiches for March 2015

Humm…I forgot to consolidate the sandwich creations for March 2015 last week. Better late than never. Inspirations for the pig and silly smily cat sandwich creations came from pictures of soft toys while the sobbing girl was created to mark the passing of a great leader. 

There were 8 sandwich creations last month and my kids' favorite was the sleeping bunnies covered by the blanket.

My personal favorite is definitely the sobbing little girl waving the Singapore flag for Mr Lee Kuan Yew!

Quick & Easy - Sandwich Bag

I have to admit I don't feel like making cute sandwiches this week but my kids still need their food. Sandwich bag is the easiest as I am free to decorate the bags. Too lazy to even make sandwich, I bought some buns from a bakery and put into colored sandwich bags. 

Added their favorite stickers to the sandwich bags instead of drawing on it. They are not really into Disney Frozen anymore (what am I gonna do with the hand drawn Elsa sandwich bags now? *sweat*) and one of their new favorites is the Winx Club. I just added a short message on the bag for a personal touch.

They seem happy with the arrangement as they get to choose the stickers for the bags too.

Sandwich Bag Deco

Making last batch of tarts today and hopefully I can have the energy to make sandwiches for the kids tomorrow. I bought some buns for them to bring to school today.

I used a colored sandwich bag, added a sticker and a personalized message for the kids. I shared the idea with a friend and now she writes words of encouragement for her kids on the sandwich bags during exam period! :)

The sandwich bags come with stickers but I prefer to use my own for now. I have some chinese words written on the stickers. I really hope my kids can pick up some chinese words along the way.

Believe! You Can Do It!

Once upon a time, when Disney Frozen merchandises were rare and few, I bought plain sandwich bags and drew the pictures using permanent marker. The kids were delighted of course! The classmates even asked for their used sandwich bags.

Whenever I feel lazy, I will dump the sandwich into the colored sandwich bags, paste some pretty stickers on it or write some encouraging words for the kids. And off they go to school with it.
